Who We Are

Seattle Area Feline Rescue (SAFe Rescue) takes in homeless cats and kittens and finds them loving homes. As a non-profit, no-kill rescue, we connect people in our community to their new furry family members. We believe every animal deserves a second chance, including seniors and felines with special needs. Cats often arrive at the rescue frightened, hungry, or in need of medical treatment, and our staff and volunteers give them all the kindness and care they need to recover.

What We Do

For the homeless cats and kittens we take in, SAFe Rescue is the first stop on their journey to a new life. They may arrive frightened, traumatized, or in need of medical care, but they receive loving care from the moment they arrive. The exam room allows shelter staff and volunteers to assess their needs in a quiet area. The quarantine enclosures keep them safe from disease until they receive their vaccines. A dedicated Ringworm Isolation room allows us to treat cats with this contagious, but curable skin infection. An extensive network of foster families care for cats who need extra care and support in their homes before they are adopted. The safe, comfortable adoption enclosures help their purring personalities shine. Then each kitty has a special day when someone visits the center and falls in love. They meet their people in one of the adoption rooms, and then they go home!
